We
present a collection of statements on nuclear weapons
by a variety of religious bodies and religious leaders.
Most were issued since the end of the Cold War.
Without
exception they oppose the use of nuclear weapons.
Most
advocate abolition or total elimination.
A
few offer interim acceptance of nuclear deterrence
as a step on the way to progressive disarmament.
